Seems character assination is all they've got in their arsenal. Attempts by the Right to attack a leftist's character could backfire- making them more attractive to the Left. Digging up dirt on a dirtbag is a waste of time, but not the other way around. (see Larry Flynt, Hillary's 900 FBI files) In order to oppose them one must be squeaky clean at all times.
