Here they go again - going after a conservative Republican. This is about free speech in a free society. But because Jerry Duncan is a conservative, the liberal press is trying to "fry" him.
What did he do? Obviously, he was kidding around.
Also - notice that the more liberal members of the City Council somehow miraculously escaped the inquisition. It was suggested that they were warned and were able to DELETE their emails beforehand. FIGURES!
Sheeeeeeesh!

Leaders of Peace Fresno were saddened and offended. LOL! True colors alert!

Duncan should apologize, explaining that he really should have said he wanted a clean bomb.

Not necessarily..what would happen if it was the other way around? In these times, you have to watch everything you say or you're going to get a visit...Free Speech? That's as good as being watched for what you read at the library..

But making threats is stupid all the way around. Feel free to express your displeasure - leave the threats for the 12 year olds.

"he really should have said he wanted a clean bomb" I don't know. The word "bomb" is also insensitive. Maybe he could have used the phrase "chicken finger" instead to imply simulated violence.

But making threats is stupid all the way around. True.

And Alec Baldwin can go on national television, call for the
execution by stoning of Rep. Henry Hyde, his family, and the other House impeachment managers ...
but he was only joking ...

(Let's take back the word "liberal" from the commies!!)
To: Saundra Duffy
We see this time and again. The neocommunists assess the behavior of a Republican office holder and ALWAYS find it so egregious that resignation must follow. They assess the bahavior and then conclude what the appropriate response might be.
When these same folks see similar behavior in another neocommunists or democrat, their response is ALWAYS, "let's put this behind us and move on." The ultra-left wing, liberal-extremist media ALWAYS goes with the neocommunists!
In this regard, the one thing about the dem weasels on a national level that has surprised me is their gailure to employ this tactic with President Bush. They took his SOTUA address and assessed that he had lied (when it was no such thing). One traitorous America-hater urged impeachment for the lie that existed only in his warped mind. But, they have failed to work on "compassionate conservative." I have been surprised that every time Bush does something the weasel dems don't scream "That's not compassionate; he must resign!" Can't you see Nadler, Waxman, well, all the usual snivelers, whining about something Bush did?

What was just a silly joke has turned into a major story. Note who's behind it: THE LIBERAL FRESNO BEE! LOL!!!

Actually, this is scary. Big brother alert!

Jerry Duncan would make a better Governor than Arnold.Amen to that! (But I'm voting for Tom McClintock.)
To: Saundra Duffy
The comment itself cannot be defended. That being said, he apologized, so it's time to move on.
As to the HRC folks, if they are appointees and are in essence "employees," Duncan should explore having them brought up on charges of insubordination if they took any actions against him or made public disparaging statements about him.
To: ChewedGum; Jim Robinson
It wasn't a THREAT at all. Just a silly joke. Jerry Duncan protested with us at the corner of Blackstone & Shaw in Fresno. He's a Patriot.

And Alec Baldwin can go on national television, call for the execution by stoning of Rep. Henry Hyde, his family, and the other House impeachment managers ... but he was only joking ...Damn good point!!!
