I really cannot understand how persons like Michael Schiavo can partition their minds into selective denial. Some might simply be in denial, some may be truly evil. Not for me to judge, though, I think I have dealt with plenty of both.

He is trying to murder his wife for her money. People like him do not have a conscience. Pure self interest to the extreme.
