Terri was admitted to Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida on Wednesday, August 13th. Hospice did not notify Terri's family of this and they did not find out until almost 24 hours later of their daughter's whereabouts. Michael Schiavo has given instructions not to discuss Terri's condition with her family. We will update this as soon as we know more.
Glenn Beck brought this up during his radio broadcast this morning.

Prayers needed for Terri and her family.
Her husband is, at the very least, a cruel man for keeping Terri's condition from her parents.

She is the woman whose husband has been trying to kill her for years. Battles in the courts to halt her death by starvation.

Why was she in hospice? I thought she was healthy and thriving and this was the key to continue her G tube feedings.
Did I miss something? Did that creep have her G tube feedings stopped?
Murderer!

Bill O'Reilly was showing her videos on TV, and had her family on also. I couldn't believe anyone would want to yank her feeding tube, unless they were a murderer at heart.

Woman at Center of Fla. Euthanasia Case Hospitalized
By Jeff Johnson
CNSNews.com Congressional Bureau Chief
August 15, 2003
Capitol Hill (CNSNews.com) - A 39-year-old disabled Florida woman, who is the focus of an on-going euthanasia battle pitting her husband against her parents and siblings, was admitted to a hospital Wednesday due to an undisclosed medical emergency.
Terri Schindler Schiavo's parents claimed Friday that her husband is in violation of a court order for not notifying them of the change in her condition.
Bob and Mary Schindler said they did not learn until late Thursday that their daughter, Terri, had been moved from the hospice where her husband, Michael Schiavo, had been keeping her to the Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla.
A spokeswoman for the family claimed in a press release that Michael Schiavo's failure to notify Terri's parents was illegal.
"There is a 1996 Court Order filed in the Circuit Court for Pinellas County that requires [that] he notify Terri's parents in the event of a change in medical condition," said Pamela Hennessy, the volunteer media coordinator for the family. "Thus far, this order is being ignored."
Hennessy also suspected that Michael Schiavo had given strict instructions to the hospital's staff, "not to disclose Terri's medical condition to her parents" because no information is available about the reason for her admission through the hospital's emergency department.
Michael Schiavo and Terri Schindler Schiavo's family have been involved in court battle for more than a decade over the husband's desire to remove his wife's feeding tube, which will result in her death by starvation and/or dehydration.
The woman's parents and siblings argue that her brain damage and the resulting disabilities, which occurred in 1990 under questionable circumstances, should be treated. While she must have a feeding tube for nourishment and hydration, Terri does not require a respirator or other extraordinary measures to keep her alive.
Although more than a dozen physicians have agreed that Terri's condition should improve with treatment, Michael Schiavo has been providing only maintenance care for his wife since receiving an insurance award that provided $300,000 to him for lost companionship and $700,000 to provide for his wife's medical care and rehabilitation.
At one point, a court overruled his demand that his wife not be treated for an infection that could have been fatal.
Michael Schiavo is currently living with another woman with whom he has had a child, though he is still legally married to Terri. He, his brother and sister-in-law claim Terri had expressed a desire not to be kept alive artificially should she ever be severely injured.
Two Florida courts have accepted their hearsay testimony, though there is no written record of Terri Schindler Schiavo ever making such a request.
George Felos, the attorney for Michael Schiavo, was not immediately available for comment.

I can't believe nobody notified her parents. What a nightmare.

Doesn't anyone on the hospital staff have a conscience?

I understand this guy is a scumbag.
Why was she in hospice? People do not go to hospice untill they are dying.
A doctor is not going to go against the law for some scumbag and have her put into hospice if she is healthy and thriving.
I thought she was in a nursing home or rehab facility. When was she moved to hospice?

Morton Plant Hospital
Cruel irony.Crossed my mind too--knowing that hubbie's attorney compared Terri's condition to a houseplant.
To: NautiNurse
Can Terri sign or indicated YES or NO?
If so why the hell hasn't she gone before the court and asked for a divorce so her parents can take over her care?
Again I know her scumbag husbands motives.
My son is in worse shape than Terry physically but is of sound mind and believe me he even though he speaks via communication devices (no speech) rules all his life decisions. I only over rule if it is somethng unlawfulor a danger to his health. In his case I have done this only on one subject. He wants to go to the BunnyRanch.

Well that reads like a horror movie.
Should clue folks into picking Drs. according to their own Religeous/spiritual belief.
With a growing market for organ donars needed my son is not a donar in case some Dr. ever got the idea his life was not worth living and someone else could do much more with his organs and he has a revive no matter what at evry hosp we do business with and we carry one on us.
I hope the best for this woman. This should be a wake up call though for all concerned that they need to have documents in order today to keep this from ever happining to anyone else.
I have heard folks say I do not want to live with a poopbag or g tube funny how fast they change their minds when it becomes amatter of life or death.

You answered your own question with your last phrase, I still care.
If her Father and Mother did not have the good fortune to be financially able to fight him in the courts, the sorry sob whoul have killed her long ago.

I cannot understand how the courts can uphold his right to kill his wife? She needs treatment with those funds he was given - why is she not getting treatment?
I just cannot understand this - this is murder being committed pure and simple. These hospitals are looking at a powerful lawsuit.
This must be the beginning of society judging who is qualified to live or not? I saw that tape and that woman is not even in a coma - her eyes move, she showed recognition of her mother.
I just can't believe this is standing. He should be hauled to jail for his actions. If he does not want to care for her - turn her over to her parents - he does not have the right to kill her. Where are the police in this matter?
