Terrorists chop off villager's head in Jammu and Kashmir Press Trust of India Jammu, August 15
Terrorists chopped off head of a villager in Poonch district even as an Al-Badr commander and a BSF jawan were killed in separate incidents in Rajouri and Udhampur districts of Jammu and Kashmir since Thursday night, official sources said on Friday.
A group of armed terrorists intercepted a shop owner Abdul Kareem in Hari village of Surankote tehsil of Poonch district on Thursday night and abducted him, they said.
Karim was severely tortured throughout the night, they said and later his head and limbs were chopped off. The body parts were recovered on the outskirts of the village on Friday, they said.
Terrorists fired on a BSF patrol party in Mahore forest belt during an operation from a hilltop on Thursday night, the sources said adding a company jawan identified as constable Vishwajeet Sahia was killed.
He said the terrorists, however, managed to escape.
In a fierce gunbattle, security forces shot dead an Al-Badr area commander in Keri forest belt of Rajouri district early on Friday, the sources said.
One AK rifle, 2 magazines, 5 grenedes, one wireless set, 2 IEDs, 192 rounds and one UBGL grenade were recovered from him, they said.
