Cars sliding all over the ice vs running thru intersections without lights? At least we know where the signals are and we stop anyway.

You park it and wait. You don't drive on ice, ice drives you...into something "fixed".
On the other hand, I strive to see how much snow I can "plow through" in a good snow. :)
