SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Arnold Schwarzenegger added more brawn to his campaign team on Thursday by announcing ex Secretary of State George Shultz would join his campaign as an economic adviser, according to the candidate's spokesman.

Seeking to counter opponent's attacks that the muscleman-turned-actor was not qualified to serve as California's governor, Schwarzenegger has assembled a team of political veterans behind the scenes and some top finance names in the foreground.

On Wednesday, he named billionaire Democrat Warren Buffett as his senior economic adviser, then donated $1 million to his own campaign to help fund the new team.

Spokesman Sean Walsh said on Thursday that Shultz, who served as secretary of state under president Ronald Reagan, would also join the economic advisory team.

I think you make the mistake of assuming that I support Arnold for governor. I don't. I'm just tired of your Nazi witch hunt, and your smear tactics.

I smear no one. You may try to insult me for pointing out facts-your choice of tactics reflects on you.

I claim only to know what has been said-this man was in the Waffen SS, he was Arnold's very close friend-he was toasted by Arnold at Arnold's wedding with the words, "We ( Maria & I ) love you Kurt". Most people would wonder what all this means. A fine & decent commander of the U.S. Army ( Gen Patton ) allowed his troops to dispose of all Waffen SS whom they encopuntered-they must have been very bad men indeed.

Seems strange you choose to ignore this. The entire world was in an uproar over this information about Waldheim ) & his popul;arity was destroyed-among decent people. I choose not to ignore this. You may find anything you choose to be tiresome.

I find your views & remarks to be entirely consisitent with the current decline of morality. Ditto the 'acceptance' of a vacuous body-builder with strange friends for a position of authority over the state of California. A perfect example of what the Founders feared-mob rule. Read Gasset on the Revolt of the Masses-if you dare.
