[history]
He's vowed to "clean up Sacramento," but Arnold Schwarzenegger has hired a handful of campaign consultants who were heavily involved in the scandal that drove disgraced state Insurance Commissioner Chuck Quackenbush from office.
One Quackenbush consultant hired by Schwarzenegger's gubernatorial campaign, Jeff Randle, co-wrote a memo outlining how Quackenbush could enhance his image with money from insurance firms that mishandled Northridge earthquake claims.

Hey, hey, hey. Let's cut this out now. Arnold is the hero here. He can do no wrong. Quit posting this stuff. It's upsetting our apple carts. Move along everyone. Nothing to see here.

You guys have a real shot at unseating Davis......and you all are attacking each others candidates.
I'm not from CA so I don't have a dog in this hunt BUT you people need to stop this infighting and band together because if you don't unseat Davis and he pulls this out he will make life living hell for every Republican in your state.
That is my 2 cents for what it is worth..

What the media and many folks fail to realize is that in Sacramento there are very few winning political consultants to go around. This team was 4-0 with Wilson (including the 20 point come from behind win against Kthy Brown) and 2-0 with CQ and 2-0 with Bill Jones. There are only about 3000 people on or around Crapitol mall that read all this crap. And it sure as hell aint gonna resonnate with Arnie's Army of new 18-24 year old voters.
And the LA Slimes felt that they deserved a Pullitzer for running Chuck Quakenbush out of office and have been bitter about not winning it ever since and are more than willing to keep stirring the pot any chance they get...relevant or not.

I'm serious... It's August 14, 2003. The election isn't for nearly 2 months. Why in the world every time Ahrnold does something else to make us believe that he isn't the messiah and we criticize him, we are reminded that we must stick together.
I agree we should stick together, I just don't think that Arnuld Buffet is the one to fix our financial crisis.

ARnoLD cannot stand to loose...he will do what ever it takes and run over who ever it takes to win
He will also bust his butt to fufill every campaign promise as he knows these will be held up to him at every turn..
He hates ..hates to loose ...he hates to fail....
My guess is if he commits to something he will do his absolute best to complete it as promised
At least if he attacks this as he has most things in his life

Schwarzenegger, who gave $1 million to his campaign on Tuesday, called Buffett "my mentor and my hero"This stuff writes itself.
BTW, McClintock doesn't have to give himself $1 million; by the end of the week he will be the first candidate to raise it from the grassroots.

"This is yet another sad and pathetic attempt by the Democrats to throw lawn chairs in front of the freight train that is the Schwarzenegger campaign," spokesman Sean Walsh said of the Quackenbush issue. Wrong Mr. Walsh. This was a stupid move.

I too believe that McClintock is the man for the job.
The question is: how can he overcome Arnold's money
and name recognition?
To: upcountryhorseman
The question is: how can he overcome Arnold's money and name recognition? Well, he can't. He can get his message out through talk radio. Now he's going onto TV appearances. He was on MSNBC twice today.
The important thing is, can Ahrnold overcome his own recognition.
If my "conspiracy" theory is untrue, (short story, they want a fiscal moderate to get into the -$38.2 because he will be unable to turn it around, and can be wholely blamed by are friendly Democratic Party)
Otherwise, the Demos are going to launch both barrels at him soon. His support is broad, but shallow. People could turn on him in one day.
