The long-running legal saga between the state Democratic Party and its former executive director ended Wednesday with a settlement.
Alice Skelton worked for the party from February 1995 to December 1996 before an ad hoc committee ousted her.
In 1997, she sued for $54,500, but her lawsuit eventually turned into a $170,000 breach of contract case, in which she also demanded money for interest and legal fees.
