CAIR, which has set aside a special section on its website for Pipes, calls him an "Islamophobe."
if CAIR hates Daniel Pipes, he must be telling the truth ...

if CAIR hates Daniel Pipes, he must be telling the truth ... Ain't THAT the truth.... CAIR loathes the man, but anyone who has read Pipes' "Militant Islam Comes to America" would know very well that it is not Islam that Pipes objects to, it is the murder of innocents in the name of Islam.
Now what is it -exactly -that CAIR objects to?

Bush must be doing a lot right. CAIR hates him and George Soros just pledged $10 million to knock him out in 2004
(We'll see how much Haim Saban, Steve Bing and Fred Eychaner chip in to topple Bush and defeat Republicans this year , they gave over $24 million for the cause in 2002).
Hey...you Christians...better get out those checkbooks. Ain't nobody but you donating to the GOP it appears.

CAIR has already stated their goal quite clearly - to convert the US into an Islamic Republic.
They have no love for America. They see our open institutions, Bill of Rights, and free society NOT as fertile ground for personal growth, peace and prosperity, but as an open wound in the body of America through which they can insert themselves as a knife to further open the wound.
Daniel Pipes is the sort of "antibody" they fear most - and I say Hooray for President Bush for using his powers during recess to appoint Mr. Pipes.
Now, if only we can convince the Prez to use that same recess-power to appoint some conservative judges currently languishing in filibuster-land...

I've thought for years that a Republican president should pick CONSERVATIVE groups and listen to them and just shut out the others. Ignore NOW and publically seek only advice from non-leftist women's groups. Ignore the Rainbow Pushers/NAACP and hook up with black groups that aren't run by race warlords. Ignore CAIR and hook up with groups that don't support terrorists.
While he would be criticizes in the short term, those groups would lose a lot of support if their air supply is cut off. Moreover, it would bring these other WORTHY groups to public attention and perhaps their more principled members would jump ship and move to where the good people are.

Thanks for the ping. I have to ask - how effective is the council for which he has been nominated? I believe I read Ted Kennedy is a ranking member. Does anyone know exactly what the committee does?

Radical Islam is an insane murder cult, "moderate" Islam is its Trojan Horse in the West.

They need to remember that if push comes to shove, they are outnumbered 1,000 to one in rifles.

I think if they pulled the bombing attacks like in Israel or another 9/11-style attack, the American people will demand they be rounded up and sent back to their sewer-holes ... no doubt there will be some that try to test that theory though ...

Exactly when did CAIR start dictating policy?
There is no peace with terrorists. No truce with evil.

Nagy, lamenting he was unable to testify against Pipes's nomination before Congress, wrote: "Continuing to teach in the U.S. is no longer an option for me. So I am moving to Canada in a few days where I will apply for citizenship and try to rebuild my 20-year university career in a functioning democracy." EXCELLENT. Reason enough to confirm Pipes. This is what you wanted, right?
