"Don't you think if Mel Gibson were running, he'd be just as popular?"

Thanks for confirming my suspicion that most people are anaesthetized by TV and movies such that they THINK the media is REALITY.

I like Mel Gibson's movies very much. I know he is a religious man who demonstrates his faith. I know that he is an outstanding family man. However, I did not learn any of that by watching Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome or Lethal Weapon 3.

I enjoyed Arnold in True Lies and all the Terminator movies. However, I did not learn that he is PRO ABORTION, Anti-second amendment, pro-homosexuality perversion or in favor or BIGGER and BIGGER government by going to the movies.

It sure sounded like that's what I meant, huh!
Golly, let me be clearer.
What first attracted me to Schwarwenegger was his history. That got my attention ... the qualities I perceived.
Believe me, the more we're hearing about his suspected plans, the less shiny his star is looking.

You're so right ... star status grabs the attention but substance SHOULD carry the day.
I'm saddened that McClintock isn't flashier, because this electorate doesn't seem to notice (yet) what incredible substance he has.

Hope this icon doesn't irk you, but if McClintock is to be the Seabiscuit of this race, there'd better be enough 'Charles Howards' out there to promote him.
Did you hear Rush yesterday, longing to see more passion in the race?
