Neumayr is trying to bait California conservatives. It won't work. This recall is about holding a lying politician/powergoon to responsibility for the horrific mess he's made of California's economy. This election isn't about conservative issues like abortion, or homosexual rights. And who knows, if Arnold gets elected, he may grow to appreciate conservative values as he deals with the liberal pukes seeking to mutate this nation into socialism-land.

What an idiot this author is. Nowhere does he even address the disaster that the state is in financially and this is what the recall is all about. It's not about sex. Nobody is reaclling Davis because he's leading a morally deficent life. It's about the budget stupid.

Exactly if Arnold wins he gains control of the State
party and that means conservatives no longer
have a voice on any issues.

This is not the way to advance the conservative
agenda but to destroy it.

This guy was Limbaugh's source for the mud slinging campaign he started against AS last week. I understand that Limbaugh's performance today was worthy of Cirque du Soleil-a lot of back flips and contortions trying to deny he ever uttered a negative word against AS.

They know that he is a Kennedy Republican, that is, a nominal Republican who will advance the views and values of Kennedy liberals under the false flag of Republicanism.

This is good.

Reagan registered with the Republican Party to stop liberals, not elect them. Schwarzenegger's campaign is not the return of Reagan's California party, but definitive proof of its collapse.

A party that abandons its agenda "to win" will have no agenda to promote once it does.

George Neumayr, a writer in Southern California, contributes frequently to The American Prowler and The American Spectator.

I think I love this man.

Arnold is no Reagan!

Arnold wants to get California out of the red, so its social welfare programs will have the proper funding levels required to operate more effectively and function more efficiently. All this, for the people. LOL That's high minded liberalism.

Arnold may be a registered Republican, but he's definitely no conservative. Arnold is a liberal.

George Neumayr is correct we mustn't abandon our beliefs and principles. And he's right be must not be tempted to "win" merely for the sake of winning. Power for its own sake will get conservatives nowhere. Power with a purpose does. The question isn't if Arnold is a conservative; he isn't. He's clearly electable. The question Republicans must answer is whether Arnold intends to hold power for its own sake or whether he will use it for better ends. Can we advance the conservative agenda if he will use power in the latter sense? We'd be fools not to. We will have to find a way to use Arnold's popularity to promote and advance conservative beliefs and positions, not Arnold's philosophy. George's warnings should be taken to heart but ideological purity alone will not bring us to a position to save California and lay the groundwork for a conservative renaissance in our state.
