There's the problem - the uncontrolled growth of school spending. Does anyone believe schools are better today than they were in Levittown(s)?

The problem, and I saw this in my old hometown in CT, is that when they New Yorkers have kids, they move to the suburbs and vote for massive school spending. The second their kids are out of the public schools they take off back to NYC or Florida - leaving the longtime residents holding the bag.
