Davis makes it sound like 8 million people voted for him for Govenor. Not so only 3.3 million voted for him and remember that in a very short time 2.0 million just signed petitions to recall him. AND he was elected by a plurality just like Arnold will be. Come on National Press, don't let Davis get away with making it sound like he got 8 million votes, geeezz!!!

Why doesn't the press correct Gov. Davis when he says:

"I have an obligation to the eight million who went to the polls last November: They asked me to do a job in California. I'm going to do it every day they allow me to do it. I'm not going to give up on those eight million people who went to the polls."

A few things I would humbly suggest you keep in mind:

1. Gray Davis is being recalled largely because he covered up the disasterous impending budget shortfall during his campaign. He knew, but he said all was manageable.

2. The press and the liberal newsrooms aided and abetted Davis in covering up the impending budget disaster all through the campaign season because they desperately wanted their Democrat re-elected.

3. The recall of Davis is virtually a "recall" of the scumbag liberal newsrooms. They knew what was in store with the budget, and they said nothing. This fact is not lost on (most) literate Californians.

4. The liberal newsrooms are shifting into high gear to rally around their man Davis and destroy Schwarzenegger because they fully understand that a successful recall of Davis is an embarrassing slap in the face for them.

5. Therefore, this is no time to expect the liberal California press to finally begin telling the truth. Quite the opposite is more likely. Expect a cavalcade of lies and verbatim mouthing of every DNC "talking points" memo that spits out of their fax machines.

Good luck!

Regards,
LH
