Don't feel bad...it bumped me to Amazon too (and I don't have net nanny)
BTW - this is the best Dowd piece I've ever read. (I realize that doesn't say much.) She is nitpicky but most of her comments are actually correct. Have you looked at the blogs of these guys? They all purport to be a real life glimps of these real men, but they are just crafted dribble, mostly written by PR people instead of the actual candidate.

That is so wierd! Now it is bumping me to Amazon.com.
It still works if you copy the shortcut and place it in your address bar.

Thanks, seydlitz, for the correction. ok, well, halfway right is better than all-wrong! aol's 'cooked accounting books' that you referred to, is that the business about inflating their subscriber numbers?

p.s. forgot to say that I wasn't defending AOL in any way. I've always thought they had a LOUSY product and could never figure out why people would pay more for their lousy service than for regular ISPs. I think those 2 companies deserve each other.

Here's two for you:
and...
one for Mo.

Please to note: baby and wedding ring

When Dowd sticks to writing about social phenomena and liberal people, her writing is actually pretty good. But her brain short-circuits when she tries to write about conservatives or politics. She just can't muster the logical wattage to say anything insightful and she can't bring herself to extend the most basic courtesy or fairness to people like Ashcroft and Bush. She shouldn't be writing for the NYT, she should be a blogger!
