Not really LOL... except having to explain it to my sergeant at the time... "Well, see, I was driving by the Boeing Plant, and you know how our cars look like Boeing Security? Well, the idiots on strike thought thats who I was and ran in front of me..."

FY -- I heard a KFI promo this morning (Wednesday) indicating that John and Ken are going to cover the union-thugs-attack-recall-supporters story this afternoon (3-6 p.m. pacific).

stream (if it works)

And the thugs wear steel-toed shoes. Hard to defend against that.

Bring a 5lb short handle sledge hammer and SMACK those steel toes about 2-3 inches back from the front of the toe and see how they like that!

The "steel" will fold down and lock the foot in the shoe.

DO NOT hit the front of the toe as that is the strongest part of the shoe.

Thanks for the heads up... I set the p.c. to record it and will review it when I get home from work. I think we still need answers from Shawn Cubbage who seems to be exploiting this media opportunity for all it's worth. (Don't take that as necessarily a negative comment) Last time I checked there were still no "Crime Reports" on file with SPD. "Incident" reports yes, but that's not the same as an arrest warrant(s) or charges filed with the DA. Some "I-Reports" go nowhere... some are sent to detectives if a suspect(s) can be identified and the elements of the crime established in the mind of detectives. If only misdemeanor charges seem appropriate, the victim must make the arrest since it didn't happen in front of an officer. If a felony can be established (that's where the statements made to the seven year old is critical) or a weapon was used (steel toed shoes may qualify if sustained by the injuries) detectives can file for a warrant and arrest the suspect without the victim having to use a citizen's arrest.

If victims can't or won't step up to press charges, this could all be viewed as a publicity stunt. For once, it was great to see Mulholland have to eat crow for the "real bullets" statement. I'd hate to see recall proponents made to look like whiners instead of the winners we know they are.

I'm sure your kidding... "Bring a 5lb short handle sledge hammer and SMACK those steel toes about 2-3 inches back from the front of the toe and see how they like that!"

Hope you'll put up the bail for felony assault with a deadly weapon. Break the skin and you're looking at aggrevated felony ADW with serious state prison time.

"This was an unprovoked attack, and the victims have had their civil rights violated."

Sorry but no civil rights violated per se. That requires it be done by someone operating under color of authority. These people were assaulted criminally and the perps should (must) be dealt with accordingly.

Oh, if any were cops or??, then maybe there is a valid rights question but that is unlikely.

The reason the Nazi brownshirts fought with the Communists in Germany prior to Hitler's rise is because they were competing for the same people as members, as Hayek pointed out 25 years ago.

Really? News to me .... where can I read about that?

Get yourself a copy of F.A.Hayek's "The Road to Serfdom," available at Amazon or other book retailers. They released a 25th anniversary reprinting a couple of years ago.

Lainie... thanks again for the KFI link... We listened to the interview after work. Again, it raises more questions now than answers. There's a few conflicting statements from what's been published and stated in interviews since Saturday. I'll invite any of you whom I've addressed this post to, to e-mail me (webmaster@crimewatch.us) for an audio copy of that interview. You seem to be taking this matter more seriously than most or have had constructive input.

In reviewing the call numbers I cited in my first post, I did find a report for 245 p.c. felony assault with a deadly weapon that was likely filed at the hospital and the complaint wasn't from Shawn as far as I can tell but I don't feel comfortable citing the name. The alleged felony charges mentioned on KFI today are new to the mix of conflicting information and there was no reference to the 245 p.c. report.

I'd sure like to see one of the victims come forward and tell us what they are being told by authorities that differs from what I'm getting. If there are felony charges being considered, the District Attorney needs to be advised that there is a compeling community interest in this case.

I did learn today, that shortly after the call for service was closed, Associated Press called Sacramento Police dispatch and asked to speak to the watch commander. That was one of the call numbers I cited earlier (the second if I recall correctly).

For any media type lurking here, the pending crime report's number is SPD# 03-68924

"....attacked by union thugs wearing dark “NO ON RECALL” t-shirts..."

We saw that last year at the Simon/Davis debate. The union thugs showed up in matching T-shirts with matching signs. They are loud and intimidating and they are just as rough on females as males. They are RENT A MOB and they don't care whom they hurt or injure and neither does Davis! He can't be recalled soon enough for me. I live in LA all last year, I still have my DUMP DAVIS sign on my frig! LA is my adopted hometown.
