Bush pigs never go after a human as a meal. This guy is full of it. She ran, so the bear took off after her. If you run, they chase. If he was really hungry, or mad, the forearm to the nose would have resulted in a quicker start to the meal.

Black bears do, in fact, prey on humans. If a black bear attacks, don't play dead--it's likely trying to eat you. The opposite is true with a grizzly, where playing dead can save your life.

I suggest you check your sources on bears and bear attacks - you are wrong. The wildlife official is correct.
