Richmond Fed manufacturing index falls in July

 WASHINGTON, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Details of the Federal
Reserve Bank (News - Websites) of Richmond's monthly manufacturing and service
index, released on Tuesday:

NOTES/HISTORICAL COMPARISONS
 Index values greater than zero suggest expansion, while
values less than zero indicate contraction.
 The Richmond Fed manufacturing index covers activity in the
fifth Federal Reserve District, which includes the District of
Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina
and most of West Virginia.
 The fifth district produces approximately 9 percent of the
nation's gross domestic product.

..and mfg prices received and paid are falling. Now where have I read that before?

Vacation time. I'm not seeing anything right now one way or another regarding manufacturing other than the continued trend toward contraction.
