But there is this -- I heard several Watts interviews, and he simply is not ready for top-spots yet. As one among 435 {House of Reps} he may be ok, but he's not ready to be a senator, and certainly not for VP or higher.

Why not? He seems more solid than a lot of Republicans out there. He certainly seemed more solid than Trent Lott.

To say "more solid than Trent Lott", may be accurate, but not saying that much. Also more solid that Patty Murray or Sheila Lee.


Maybe that's enough reason to put Watts in the Senate. I would not be disappointed if that happened. Wouldn't Steve Largent be better?
