tdadams,

I have shared my own experiences with communism with Cleon Skousen and with Professor Fred Schwartz "You can Always trust a Communist....to be a Communist" I know what they say runs counter to your interpretation of polemic, but is hard cold accurate. Communists tend to repeat, recycle the same old stuff. I have dealt with communists who bluntly tell me the same things Skousan mentions.

I see the need for repetitious exposure of their goals so long as they repeat their techniques.

People who live these experiences tend not to engage in polemics, which is another valuable tool in the lexicon. Communists draw intellectuals into polemic on nuances of communism and socialism, blinding the listeners to the simple truths of their fraud by the intellectual wealth of their word tools.

In short, Cleon Skousen knew the truth in his words and those who have dealt long time with communist thought back his points without reservation.

And echoing what Uncle Jacque says, communists (and one may include all of that stripe) use words differently than us. Words to us have meaning and we convey those meanings in predictible fashion and are understood accordingly.

But communists (liberals, democrats, socialists, baathists) use words as tools. They issue words as weapons to achieve an effect. (Not an understanding of a thought conveyed) So, they have no interest or concern as to how the recipient understood the words, but only upon the effect that lanced missle creates. They call us a bigot, not because they think we are bigots, but because of the reaction we will have. The pattern is consistant to the point of boredom.

Communists and allies use the same tired arguments over and over for one good reason. It works. Only when it quits working, will they try something else.

At one point in my life, I laughed off their clumsy techniques as too goofy to worry me. No longer, the more I watch that inevitable march of ants, the more steeled I am against this awesome evil force.

I know better than to fall into the trap of debating them. It is a waste of perfectly good words.

Well, thanks for all that, but it's a bit irrelevant to what I was saying. My only complaint was that this (the 1963 Congressional Record about the Communist Agenda) seems to get posted here as often as I've seen emails about Bill Gates and Disney World offering me a $5000 vacation if I forward an email to 20 people. It gets a little old.
