Well, Texas IS pretty big there, girl. I can understand how you missed him! :o) LOL! We headed straight for Crawford though, Ohio, which has a population of 705 or something like that. It's just a tiny little town. We went to the little restaurant where the Bushes eat occasionally and they had been there just the previous day. :-(
We drove out the road he lives on until the Secret Service had it all blocked off and turned us away. We didn't expect to see him however and it was just neat knowing he was very close to where we were.

I'm jealous, mountaingirl.
All we saw was the panhandle, and it's not all that pretty......and nowhere NEAR where the President was..........sigh........
Glad you're back!

Hi! So what did you think of Crawford? It is usually very sleepy without the press corps and Secret Service. Did you check out the big welcome sign on the highway and the cardboard W in the restaurant? I know, questions, questions! I wish there'd been time to get together. Were you here for the 112+ degree heat day? Yesterday and today we are having below normal temperatures and you would have probably liked that more. Glad you're home safely and for what it's worth, I think W should have invited you to the ranch.
