"We see it as what we hope is the proverbial first step in a journey of a thousand miles,"
Yeah, it will take a few more years for total government control of all media.
Should be just in time for President Hillary to take credit for it.

"A girl being kidnapped, being forced to have sex against her will, being degraded...then being butchered at the end and spit on. She's being degraded."I can see why this one tripped some peoples triggers. Some sick, nasty stuff.

While Klinton and his gang roam loose, the fearless Attorney General attacks dirty movies.
Talk about misplaced priorities !

With the borders still wide open the DOJ commences operation Bluenose against that major threat to national security-porno video makers.

"prosecutions were almost non-existent during the Clinton administration..."Yes, he cared so much about 'the children' that he wouldn't even go after those who abuse them....

The Taliban were so popular in Afganistan that the Republican Party sees taking up that cudgel as a political winner.
Or maybe this is why Ashcroft lost to the dead guy.

'Tis nothing worse than hundreds of B-grade horror movies that have been released over the years. Or horror novels. Or video games. Or comic books. Or.....

"Ashcroft lost to the dead guy."
I'm beginning to think he lost to the dead guy because those who knew him rightly judged him to be an a*sh*le.

Sounds like a "snuff film", not Debbie does Dallas.

I assume it's a fake snuff film, or the charges would be much different.
It's gross stuff but it's not real. Kinda like Cher's body.

Good! People who send out this **** should be strung up by their whatevers, as far as I'm concerned. The porn industry supports the spammers who send out the gross, disgusting things that flood your mailbox every day. The spammers themselves are a bunch of judgment proof losers, but the money that pays them comes from some pretty deep pockets. Go Ashcroft! Stop this thing at its source.

"Co-owner Janet Romano (alias "Lizzie Borden") described the video as follows: "A girl being kidnapped, being forced to have sex against her will, being degraded...then being butchered at the end and spit on. She's being degraded."
And liberals wonder why they have such heinous, unspeakable crimes in their neighborhoods...

Like that one judge said years ago about obscenity, "I'll know it when I see it". This sounds like over and above mainstream pornography. In the wrong hands, this video could prove to be deadly.

Actually this is throwing a (small) bone to the Evangelical Republicrat base. Bush is stiffing genuine conservatives on a host of domestic issues so to palliate the restive base the Prez wrinkles his brow and denounces 'gay marraige' and the DOJ starts to prosecute a few internet prno video makers. Pretty small crumbs from the Prez's table for the evangelicals.

Sorry this comment was for another thread. I have no idea how it landed here. Regrets.

A person can watch hour after hour of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" but I'm pretty confident it won't make them gay.

Of course in my case, I guess that would be Ellen and Rosie. This is a different phenomenom. This is violent sex. Some people will get a trigger reaction towards the visual presentation of such.
