According to Katie Couric's NBC poll, McClintock has dropped to 4 percent, tying him with Arianna, of all malcontents!

You may be right however for being a leader...
Aye, THERE's the rub...
I am afraid that Tom is NOT a sufficiently effective leader.
A leader would have found a way to keep Bill Simon off the ballot.
A leader would have found to raise the money to run an effective campaign.
A leader would have found a way break through the mainstream media into the public consciousness more effectively.
In many ways, running a campaign is the first big test of whether or not you can run a state.
Tom McClintock is a great guy with POWERFUL ideas.
But his gifts may lie more in the area of Budget Director (or Economic Advisor) than Governor.

I don't see it as pro McClintock material - I see it as a backhand slap at the morons who foisted up an unelectable moron trying to do the same thing again.

I saw a poll posted on FR the other day that had the two "name" conservatives on the replacement ballot (McClintock and Simon), each at about 11%.
It occurred to me that McClintock was at 11% because he was not well known to the voters. Simon was at 11% because he was well known to the votes.

Not kidding. If you're interested and provided you get FNC, McClintock is Greta's guest in just a few minutes.
