Such a pretty baby. Prayers up.

I know a little baby, the son of good friends of ours, born with a heart defect, who is going in for surgery this morning. He's eight weeks old now. His name is Zachary. The surgeon is confident, but I never met a heart surgeon who wasn't. We're very worried about him.

Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing us little Zachary ... this baby is in need of Your healing touch, Father, and the surgeons are in need of Your guidance. I pray that You will grace all of those tending him this morning, that the surgery would go well and that Zachary will be restored.

Thank You, Lord, that you have given such a fierceness to these little ones, enabling them to overcome, by Your grace, the greatest obstacles. May it be so for Zachary ... surround his parents and loved ones, and those who wait, with a calmness and an assurance that comes from You. May it be thus, Lord, in the name of Jesus, Amen ...
