My niece is going through a tough time as well. She has already endured two open heart surgeries to fix her valves and a leak. She is only 4 1/2 months old then developed a severe infection that almost took her life last week. My prayers are with you and your baby. God speed.

My Nephew had open heart surgery when he was 2 days old...it is SUCH a hard thing...
He thankfully did not have any infections..I can imagine how horrifying that would be.
I hope that she continues to get better and stronger and that the surgeries have "Fixed" what they needed to fix.

My son was born with Tetralogy of Fallot [4 problems with his heart, including a hole and valve issues]. He had a Blaylock shunt when he was six months old, open-heart when he was 4, and then again when he was 14. Today, he's 30 years old and completely healthy. May it be so for your niece.
