EDITOR'S NOTE: There's been a lot of comment about Al Gore's antiwar, anti-Bush, "we were misled" speech delivered in New York last week. On Sunday the Washington Post, for example, wrote that if today's Democratic presidential candidates listen to Gore, "they will all go off the cliff." Others pointed to the former vice president's hypocrisy in questioning the Bush administration's reading of U.S. intelligence about Iraq's weapons capability after reading the same intelligence the same way during his own years in office. Despite all that, there has been relatively little comment about the fact that Gore chose to give his speech under the sponsorship of the far-left antiwar Internet activist group Moveon.org. Moveon.org has a checkered past in Democratic politics, starting as a anti-impeachment organization and morphing into an antiwar crusade, with a few stops in between. Byron York profiled the group in NR's July 28 issue.

Moveon.org is also supported by the CPUSA. Check out the upper left of their home page, with the link back to Moveon.org and their logo:

Despite it all — its anti-Bush campaign, its contributions made only to Democrats, its ties with left-wing charities — MoveOn calls itself a "nonpartisan" organization.

'Nonpartisan'.........just like the Networknews, Washington Post, NYTimes, NAACP.............

Is Moveon.org tax-exempt? And if so, why?

MoveOn is being credited with changing the face of American politics

Bull, FreeRepublic has more members that can be turned into a driving force in any part of the country. Faxing people can only do so much, PEOPLE is what makes things happen.

I especially love the fact that this "nonpartisan" group, founded by multi-millionaires, is so opposed to the influence of money on politics.

Communists. Anarchists. Nazi-like Mexican Supremecists. Klansmen.

Welcome to the Democrat Party.

Nevermind that Move-On has a prominent link at the top of the Communist Party web page, they are just a non-partisan, issue based group.

This appears to be a "communist" party web site. Does that mean that moveon.org is a communist organization? or am I jumping to the wrong conclusion?

"MoveOn.org is an issue-oriented, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that gives people a voice in shaping the laws that affect their lives," says its website. "MoveOn.org engages people in the civic process, using the Internet to democratically determine a nonpartisan agenda . . ."

Like they really except opposition points of view on their web site.

This group is most hypocritical. They started out as a group to defend the then sitting president regardless of his misconduct, abuse of power & trashing of the Constitution. Now they are opposed to a sitting president. For much of the same reasons as were cited against the former president that they so irrationally & vociferously defended.

Their whole operation smacks of pure partisan politics. Masquerading as "bipartisanship". Interesting how they do not take their own advice & Move On. Afterall: the former president they so adamantly defended taught us that a sitting president can kill, rape, pillage & that we must in the face of it simply "move on".

Not to excuse actions of the current President, but for this MoveOn group to be making noise is like the pot calling the kettle black. At the very least they should change their name as it has long since stopped representing the deceptive nature of its obfuscation.

With their track record: the credibility of this group is at near nil.

It means that MoveOn is supported in part by the CPUSA, and that the CPUSA considers itself an ally in MoveOn's efforts.

So connecting the dots, Al Gore gave his speech under the sponsorship of an organiation allied with the communist party.

Interesting. Funny, Dan Rather never mentioned that to me.

Maybe Schwarzenegger is a contributor to Moveon.org, after all, there is this:

"[Impeachment] was another thing I will never forgive the Republican Party for," Schwarzenegger said. "We spent one year wasting time because there was a human failure. I was ashamed to call myself a Republican during that period."
