I wonder how many college students are changing their majors away from "computer science"? Those who see the handwriting on the wall certainly will.

At a local 2 year school, they told me they didnt place a single person from their IT courses in the last 2 years.

They also told me that all the people hired for Y2K for the insurance companies were let go...by June 2000...and most havent been heard from since...

Twenty years ago I encouraged young people to learn about electronics and computers. Now I urge them to forget all about electronics and computers, and learn plumbing or electrical (electrician) skills instead. Or HVAC or refrigeration or something along those lines. Forget hi-tech. It's gone and it ain't coming back. Any American who intends to go into hi-tech for a career is due for a very rude awakening.

I sure am grateful to my government for using tools like OPIC and H1-B and L1-B and all of those other wonderful policies/programs/laws/etc. to destroy my livelihood. Thanks Uncle Sam! Really appreciate it!
