I don't know many Jews who are supporters of a "socialist agenda." I know some liberal Jews, and some liberal Christians too.

No arguement at all, just the authors position. Most of them vote for democrats, probably based largely on historical pattern in older voters, their largely urban demographic, and the success of the left in portraying the right as a refuge of bigots. Personally, I don't equivocate "democrat" with "socialist".
