When I look at the sentiments expressed there and see that you were a 'parts trouble shooter' for the Space Shuttle it makes me think how inspiring that must be for the astronauts. By any chance were you in charge of foam insulation adhesive?

No, not those particular adhesives. However, I was responsible to assure that the workers had many of the other adhesives which were current 'in date', and this sometimes varied from a matter of minutes/hours to months. Sometimes it got to be quite a scramble to get new adhesives, particularly, those mixed for a specific application, and we had no more components, and the last batch 'expired'.
