LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A waitress who had thrown a group of suspected gang members out of her family's Salvadoran restaurant was killed along with a 24-year-old customer when the men returned and one opened fire, authorities said.
Waitress Yesenia Rodriguez spotted the gun and tried to block the men when at least four of them returned to the restaurant Saturday afternoon, witnesses told the Los Angeles Times for Sunday's editions.
"He opened fire like a madman," said Rodriguez's sister, Marlene Castellon. "It's a miracle he didn't kill more people."
Rodriguez, a mother of two, died shortly after the shooting, one day before her 29th birthday. Also killed was customer Manuel De Jesus Rivas Carillo, police said.
No arrests had been made early Sunday, authorities said.
Los Angeles Police Officer Dan Cox said Rodriguez had asked the group to leave the restaurant earlier in the day because they were being disruptive. The restaurant, Flor Blanca, is in a strip mall in a downtown neighborhood rife with gangs, prostitution and crime.

The Brady Bill doesn't apply in California where there is an automatic 15 day waiting list. The Brady Bill, at 5 days, is only 1/3 of that.
Credit should be given to anti-gun fruit-loops such as dianne swinestein and other dims.

the business owner could have armed himself inside his business.

Yesenia Rodriguez seems to have been a brave woman. Prayers for her family and friends.

because the deaths of the peasant class don't matter as much.
I never got that. Pull out all the stops for the death of a guy involved in a dangerous situation by choice, one who at least has a weapon to defend himself, but act like nothing big happened for mothers and sons and daughters are murdered in cold blood.

I will never understand the hyprocrisy of Feinstine when she herself was carrying concealed at one time while she was mayor.

Hey Babe!
Pretty unbleivable, huh?
Feinstein's a democrat, just like Rosie. Rosie thinks no one should own guns for protection unless they're protecting her. Feinstein's no different. Hypocrisy is their middle name.

Too bad they simply didn't ignore the illegal edicts of an illegitimate gov't, and armed themselves.

The behavior of the third world gangs are being imported to the US.

Feinstein still has a Carry Permit. Whether she actually carries or lets her BODYGUARD do it all for her, I don't know. Sure seems like a "let them eat cake" attitude, tho.
To: BurbankKarl
Absolutely, every small business owner in L.A. that I know keeps a gun at the ready, and does so legally. These victims could easily have been armed but chose not to be.
To: ridesthemiles
A "let them eat lead" attitude would have been a lot more practical in this situation.

"Pull out all the stops for the death of a guy involved in a dangerous situation by choice, one who at least has a weapon to defend himself..."
I don't know if it is true or not, but as best as I recall according to Joe Friday, the rationale is that someone who will go up against and shoot an armed policeman shows himself to be more dangerous than someone who has not. The theory is that such a person is even more likely to shoot an unarmed citizen.
That's Joe Friday from the second "Dragnet," not the first one or the present one.

Heard this on this news this morning. Hope the police track these suckers down and blow them away.
