It is remarkable how unusually flammable the houses of those accused of killing police officers seem to be!

We dont know what started that fire; it could have been our tear gas, it could have been our suspect, said sheriffs Detective Mike Soderberg. But, but, but, I thought tear gas couldn't start fires, at least that's what was said about the fire at Waco that killed all those Branch Davidians.

If the facts of the story are what is reported here...
ie., the perp killed a well-known and liked officer when the officer responded to a tresspass call, that the perp took the officer's pistol and radio, that the perp acknowledged killing the officer and that the perp opened fire on officers who came to this residence where he had hidden...then for me, all of that adds up to an individual who, as Judge Roy Bean of Texas would have said...needed killin'
Sorry the house burned down around him in the course of it all...but I do not see anything in this story that indicates improper actions by the deputies and authorities involved.
If there's more information, let me know...but this looks like a murderer who got the justice he deserved...and probably more justice than would have been meted out if he had survived this encounter...but I will withhold that final judgement regarding what he might have gotten had he not forced the issue to this conclusion, until when and if more facts about the case are available.

I seem to recall they said it was the tear gas that caused the house to burn in the final stand of the Symbionese Liberation Army. But then we didn't have the Klintoons and Janet Waco in charge then...

Killer-cops love to kill with fire. It leaves so little evidence behind.

I read that thread yesterday. Building on fire and they are looking for the keys . . .
A building on fire . . . at night . . . in the desert . . . and they ask for directions to get there!
Keystone Cops strike (and burn) again.

Wrong again. Mumia was convicted in a Court of Law, in a trial by jury. He should have been hung in public a long time ago.
Show me where Kueck had his day in Court. Who were the 12 in the jury that convicted him based on the evidence presented by the DA? Who was the Judge appointed to preside over this case?
My problem is when killer-cops decide to be not only cops but judge, jury, and executioner before they even capture a suspect. My problem is when there is such a dispairaty between the firepower levied aginst Kueck vs. the lack of action when the crime victim is not a cop.

True. However is that any reason to ignore it? Should we sweep it under the carpet and wish it goes away? I say shine a spotlight on it and force the authorities to correct the problem.
When was the last time a cop was convicted for shooting an innocent during a raid at the wrong address? When was the last time the cops used the same amount of force when the victim was not a cop? From the limited amount I read without barfing, they had 3 or 4 choppers assigned, armored personnel carriors, SWAT, well over 50 regular LEO's, and fired a few hundred rounds at the perp. Did they do that for Jon Bonet?
