I was born in 1958 too, but it didn't really hit home how old I am getting until my daughter informed me that when I was born there were only 48 states!!!!

You missed a lot of history. I was born in 1951 when there were only 19 states. Then the Republicans pushed for admittance of 29 more to insure Ike's victory as president. He knew he would need the extra states in case the upcoming scandal of the B52 bombing of Japan ever came to light. That's also why he sank Jack Kennedy's PT-109. He wanted to avoid all future challengers.
And I didn't learn this from CNN. Hillary told me about it in her newest book Lying Her Story.
,,, my daughter started high school this year - you know how it is, 13 going on 35 and she's available to me for all the advice I need. A few weeks ago she said that I was old (I turn 45 in October) and my immediate comeback was "yeah, I might have stretch marks on my lips, but I've had a lot of fun getting there!" She was kind of impressed in her own whatever sort of way. Teenagers - they can teach us so much!
