Time warp. It's like when Captain Kirk and the crew of NCC-1701 were shot around the sun and went back in time to 1967 and met Gary 7.Actually, a B-52 on standby over Alaska got sucked into the same type of time-storm that took the USS Nimitz, Kirk Douglas, and Charlie Sheen back to 12/07/41. When they popped out of the storm on that fateful day in '45, they flew to observe the event. Their picture was taken over the target by a pair of late-war Kawasakis (who still could not reach their cruising altitude nor follow them back into the storm) and archived their photos for later examination. Historians found the pics of the B-52 and the notes on where and when it was taken. The rest is CNN history!

That is like saying the Space Shuttle put men on the moon. I have seen glaring inaccuracies in the media, but they don't care. A Story is more than just facts to the left-wing media.I fully expect to read something like that before I die! LOL!

By accident, I stopped on CNN just as they were doing a story on the anniversary of the successful peace action at Nagasaki in 1945. They showed some older Japanese people as the female announcer, in a voice deep and wet with concern, told about today's moment of silence at 11:02 in commeration of the time in 1945 when "a B-52 dropped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki.Yes. It's true.
The crew was interrupted from the local area network game of Quake II they were playing, when they recieved the order on Instant Messenger in Yahoo (it was customary at the time to set your PDA and computer to get Yahoo IM during time of war). They all donned their Nike sneakers, syncronized their Swatch digital watches, quickly sent some emails to loved ones, and jumped aboard the B-52.
Conclusion: CNN is populated largely by gibbering baboons.

I guess the whole Gary Seven thing was a take-off on The Avengers? Terri Garr even looks like a Diana Rigg stand in. Hope she's still doing well...
BTW, that's some weird art for a Trek... DVD?

The B-52A first flew in 1954, and the B model entered service in 1955. A total of 744 B-52s were built with the last, a B-52H, delivered in October 1962.I might not remember correctly, but I thought that the G and H models were refits of earlier models, and went into service much later than 1962.
Anybody out there know for sure?

Boy was she cute back then!Not especially.
But then I have odd ideas about looks. I can find really ugly people attractive, and find really attractive people ugly.

"Let's Drop The Big One"
by Randy Newman
No one likes us
I don't know why.
We may not be perfect
But heaven knows we try.
But all around even our old friends put us down.
Let's drop the big one and see what happens.
We give them money
But are they grateful?
No they're spiteful
And they're hateful.
They don't respect us so let's surprise them;
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them.
Now Asia's crowded
And Europe's too old.
Africa's far too hot,
And Canada's too cold.
And South America stole our name.
Let's drop the big one; there'll be no one left to blame us.
Bridge:
We'll save Australia;
Don't wanna hurt no kangaroo.
We'll build an all-American amusement park there;
They've got surfing, too.
Well, boom goes London,
And boom Paris.
More room for you
And more room for me.
And every city the whole world round
Will just be another American town.
Oh, how peaceful it'll be;
We'll set everybody free;
You'll have Japanese kimonos, baby,
There'll be Italian shoes for me.
They all hate us anyhow,
So let's drop the big one now.
Let's drop the big one now.

Terri Garr is still very attractive, IMHO. Like Barbara Eden, she shows up in a lot of off-beat films and shows. Actress Lisa Kudrow reminds me of her.
Mmm...Lisa Kudrow...

During the 50th aniversary of the Enola Gay a newspaper in Ohio with the PC spell checker printed the big bold headline: The Enola Homosexual
so what else can we expect?
When I was living in rural Illinois, the local fishwrap ran the following headline:
After fatal beating, suspect commits suicide
Yep, once a fellow gets a few fatal beatings, life just doesn't seem worth living anymore...
