However, if someone chooses to have an abortion so be it. But...let them spend their OWN money to do it. I agree 100% on the funding issue. It looks like you take the issue as one of many and weigh your vote along with the other positions you have. The Republican Party is first and foremost a fiscally conservative party. If we had to agree on all the social issues we'd never win anything.

Exactly. Abortion is a terrible thing and I want no part of it so I DO resent my tax dollars going to support it. If I want an operation I don't get it through other people's tax dollars. Abortion should not be paid for with monies from people who oppose it.
However we can't not vote for someone because they happen to be for something or not be for something. It has to be a broad brush I think. Oh well, that's me. :)
