I checked out your link. All this law says is that I have to file a return. It doesn't say I'm liable for any taxes.
Big difference. Try again.

Yes, that's correct. And when you fill out the form truthfully you demonstrate that you have taxable income. And the form says that you have to send them that amount.

IIRC, income is only on the profits from investments. Compensation for your labor is not income.

This is the Sixth District (6th District). I wonder if it can be used as case law precedent in other districts besides the 6th.

Makes sense to me, I don't get how most morons miss that, but thank God for morons, otherwise we'd have something worse.

You are most welcome. We have our work cut out for us, but we can win this battle. With your help, of course, and the help of other Patriotic Americans.

Sorry, I don't have a link to the article, if the newspaper is on the web, I'm sure it can be located. Of greater interest to me, would be to see if the story was picked up by any major media? I have heard it discussed on at least one talk radio station, but not a network, so far.
The information deserves to be distributed far and wide!

It's all over now. Saw it on Fox News this evening. :-)

I saw it here first then got it confirmed on Fox (I think it was Britt Hume). I think WorldNetDaily carried it also.
I can't say if the socialist dinosaur newspapers carried it, since I gave up reading them.

Sorry I didn't come across this 4 years ago, but, That's a B.S. argument! Only one who is "Subject to" the tax has any obligation to calculate the amount of tax owed or even fill out any tax form. Only after one is "made subject to" the tax can one be expected to comply with ANY requirements of that tax's laws.
If you were to notice all other taxes have a statement making one "liable for" or "subject to" the tax and then details on how to calculate and/or what is included or what is not included to be taxed. The income tax laws included everything EXCEPT what activity the tax is levied upon. I say activity because the Supreme court ruled that the income tax IS an excise tax (Stanton v. Baltic Mining Co., 240 U.S. 103, 112-13, 36 S.Ct. 278 (1916)), and an excise tax is a tax that is levied upon some taxable activity or privilege, such as conducting business with the privilege of a license. Therefore, for the income tax to apply to someone, the taxable activity must be stated for that person to be "subject to" the tax. Since no taxable activity is the stated subject of the tax, it applies to NO-ONE.
