Charges To Be Filed as Recall Supporters Rushed to Emergency Room

(SACRAMENTO) – Recall Gray Davis supporters were violently attacked a little more than one hour ago by Gray Davis supporters. Those who were assaulted have been taken to a local hospital emergency room in Sacramento.

A protest was underway against taxpayer-funded “Workers Against the Recall” workshops that were being led by a coalition of labor union organizations including the publicly-funded University of California Institute for Labor and Employment (UC ILE). The UC ILE received $4,000,000 of taxpayer’s money in the budget signed by Governor Davis one week ago (Saturday).

Protestors were across the street from the event marching peacefully when Davis supporters rushed across J Street in Downtown Sacramento and began beating recall supporters. Davis thugs also attempted to steal and destroy “YES on RECALL” signs from recall supporters.

“Gray Davis’ anti-recall campaign continues to stoop to new levels. The use of taxpayer money to fight the people’s recall campaign is revolting. The use of violence and physical attacks against recall supporters is disgusting and reprehensible. We call on Governor Davis to save any last shred of decency he has and condemn the use of violence against innocent citizens,” declared Recall Gray Davis spokesman, Joe Wierzbicki who was present at the protest.

These are the same union goons who showed up at the Dump Davis rally 2 weeks ago. Then we had them outnumbered by about 1000 to 30 and they stayed on their side of the street. Interestingly, they all left at exactly noon. I guess the union wouldn't pay for overtime!

It was ever thus. The way liberals get power is to seize it in a violent fashion -- witness the October Revolution in Russia, and the methodology of Unions in the 1920's and 1930's -- and they will invariably return to the use of physical force to attain or preserve their power.

My advice is as it always is: Learn a hand-to-hand combat skill; carry as powerful a weapon as you can get away with; and be prepared to put a new logo on someones head if that's what they really insist on.

In Florida, there were lots of verbal attacks but it didn't especially rise to the level of physical attacks.

Perhaps this is partly due to Florida's still respecting the second amendment. You never know who's carrying a "stinger".

That's what the unions didn't want the public to know!! If you see the video - look for the glowing color signs - one is orange and the other one is yellow/green. These are what the black shirts were trying to steal.

FOX did a great job and I'm sure that film will be used in a lawsuit against the union - CIVIL RIGHTS!! Public signwalk - cannot stop protestors - cannot take their signs. B I G LAWSUIT!!!!! I would be in a lawyers office already!! They are using our money - I'd sue for $4 MILLION - that's taxpayer money.

I've read almost every comment and this is by far the most important observation.

Always have cameras around. Have more than one so that one doesn't get involved in OJ-type lawyering about the angle/obstruction.

Conceal the cameras as possible to ensure visual capture of their acts that they'll believe are notbeing saved for posterity.

Fox is an ally to an extent but who would you rather have in control of the footage: Fox or a Freeper.

This is nothing against Fox - love those folks - but one must retain as much control as possible and then negotiate how the video is cut up before allowing a news organisation to possibly soften the impact (talking primarily about the ABC/CNN/CBS/NBC news organisations, like they'd really show it).
