Hezbollah cross-border shelling attack injures 2

Hezbollah fired several anti-aircraft salvos over the Israeli-Lebanese border this afternoon and injured two Israelis, a military source told The Jerusalem Post.

"The shelling began around 4 p.m. this afternoon and targeted the city of Kiryat Shamona. Two civilians were taken to hospital suffering from shock and at least two buildings were damaged," the source said.

This was the third Hezbollah cross-border terror attack in two days.

Hezbollah issued a statement after a two-hour attack yesterday, claiming that it's cross-border violations were in retaliation for the killing of a Hezbollah security official south of Beirut. Hezbollah blamed Israel for killing Ali Hussein Saleh, who died when a bomb tore apart his car.

Israeli troops responded yesterday with an airstrike and 155 mm artillery fire targeting suspected guerrilla hideouts in the hills on the outskirts of Kfar Chouba's outskirts, a small farming village near the Sheba Farms area, the officials said on condition of anonymity.

An Israeli army spokesman said on condition of anonymity that Israeli forces returned artillery fire and Apache helicopters searched the area for the source of the Hezbollah fire.

Israel continues to face terrorism from the Northern Front from Hizbullah, a terrorist group funded by Syria and Iran, and of which Lebanon, which is under Syrian occupation (which noone complains about), allows to operate within its borders.

The United Nations has a "peacekeeping" force between Hizbullah and Israel, and terrorism continues under their auspices. And yet, the world wants Israel to put such a force between itself and the territories, a force which does not keep the peace, but provides cover for terrorist activities.
