Searched for this article and did not see it posted using the title words.
I believe that this was one of the tripwires that Kim said could lead to war which is why I am posting.

Guess things will become somewhat more exciting now in East Asia. For anyone who may not recall, it was the boarding of a North Korean vessel near Yemen which triggered North Korea's withdrawal last winter from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Hmm.. a new twist on "speak softly and carry a big stick."
America speaks softly, while hitting hard with a big stick.
Let's see if N. Korea will still show up at the 6-way talk.

And so it begins.
This is a great way for Taiwan to make themselves part of the equation. It also puts North Korea on notice that anyone could jump on board with the blockade. They rely very heavily on their illegal sources of income, and if we can cut deeply enough, the regime is done for.

NK is broke. They only survive from gifts from other countries, either extorted or from allies like China, Russia, Lybia, etc., who want to keep the regime in power. They are a weapons source and a distribution channel for all our enemies. This bluster is part of the extortion angle.
Much of what many countries in the world do has the goal of frustrating US efforts on all fronts.
