the crowds of up to 2,000 people who have given her rock-star receptions at book-signings across the country. OK, how true is this, FReepers?

>the crowds of up to 2,000 people who have given her rock-star receptions at book-signings across the country. OK, how true is this, FReepers? At the Seattle FReep Wednesday, the press said 1000 - 1100 turned out for a 2-hour signing.
Let's run the numbers: I didn't attempt a crowd count, but say it's 1100 in 2 hours, about 9 people a minute, or 6-1/2 seconds per person. That's enough time for each person to gush briefly while Her Royal Heinous signs the book or two. (On average I'd estimate roughly about 1-1/4 books per person.) And it was reported that her signatures did become somewhat truncated during the signing...
But based on this numbers 2000 is way too high. I'd doubt her hand could hold out for 4 hours. Unless they were letting in 2 people/book...
Does this help, NJAPF?
