Me too, sounds like the writer's afraid home-schooled kids will lead to a world of hermits. These Educrats really think they're the be-all and end-all don't they?
The greatest leaders in History were all "home-schooled". You'd think they could see the advantages of individual attention, at least. But they can't, because they think that everyone but themselves are too stupid to teach anyone anything.
If I'd had the resources I would have home-schooled my child, but I think only through the 8th grade level. It would be more fun if you had a couple of few children I think. However, in terms of "leadership" you could have raised my daughter in a cloister, and she still wouldn't become a hermit, no fear of that here.
