"hee hee. I just wanted you to see that I was being nice to The Thin Man, I think, and then I forgot to ping him to." WHATT???
Yew lump LadyX in with the "GENTLLMEN" and I'm supposed to think you were just being nice to T-Man when he wasn't even mentioned, trying to slide it past him?
(clucking of tongue, followed by hrumphhh - - - and even balderdash!!)
Good try, FreeTheTinMan....:))

Hi Lady, she actually did enjoy her bath for the first time....guess she was hot and the bath cooled her down.

Well, yes, it's the truth. I'm daffy!

There once was a lawyer named Freezie
Whose life was not very easy
She excelled at chess
and it is my guess
She always was terribly breezy....

Awww......a lake house. Sounds wonderful, Lady. Hope you have a great time and please take care of yourself!
Still I'm deeply troubled at the thought of not having my one and only defender around (sniff....sniff).

We normally eat only one meal with a snack later. We got so busy doing the quilt rack we forgot the time.
I know what you mean about the hands. I have arthritis in mine and especially in the fingers you use for hand sewing. The joints get very painful. There are days my hands just don't work well at all..add in wearing tri-focals with progressive worsening vision.

They are very pretty aren't they. Yes I noticed the unusual border too. I've got one on the guilt stand doing the top quilting (red, white and blue sampler, it's a small 9 square lap one) and another under construction for my grandson who turns 2 in Oct with fishing, camping, bears, fish, deer etc, it too is a sampler, all 9 patch squares. Matt will be graduating to a twin bed so I wanted to make him a twin size quilt.
We got my quilt frame finished now all I have to do is wait until the finish drys so I can load it down with my quilts. I'll get DK to take a photo of it and post it on my quilt page. Next project will be a wall quilt hanger/shelf. Just a shelf with a bar so I can put a small wall hanging on it.

So what does any self-respecting Finest devoted reader do before launching on a trip?
Checks the thread "just one more time" while gulping down the First Cup of Coffee..:))
Cloudy skies this morning to reduce glare - very little traffic on the roads I'll be taking....have food, beverages and cell phone - Will Travel!
This is on the Taw Caw Creek side of Lake Marion, dixie sass, near Goat Island. Beautiful serene setting, right on the water...
Will miss everyone.
Hold your torch high, Thin Man - I SHALL RETURN....

I am sorry to change the subject on this thread, but this is the thread where most of my Christian friends hang out.
Please FReepmail me the answer to my question, if you have it, so as not to turn this thread into a religious discussion. I really need some help and Google is not cooperating.
Starting tomorrow I'm teaching American History to our Junior High co-op class. I'm teaching it from the Providence of God perspective. I cannot for the life of me, remember or find any good ideas, why the Roman Empire was the "right" time for Christ to come and die. Excluding the reasons for fulfilling prophesy which is a given, what were some practical reasons for the Roman Empire to be the "right" empire. For practical purposes, Rome had good roads meaning the gospel could be spread more easily. Did the Pax Romana which Caesar Augustus brought in help any or mean anything?
Clear as mud? Am I making sense here?
Any other ideas? Please help me if you can. Tomorrow is a quick World History review, then we dive into the vikings. Yes, that's right....we will cover 5,000 years in 1 1/2 hours. Pant, pant, pant...
Thanks in advance and I hope this isn't inappropriate.
God bless you all on this Lord's day. Off to study...bbl
