[history]
Pentagon officials met over a three-day period in late 2001 with a long-discredited Iranian who was a middleman in the Iran-Contra scandal, Defense Department officials said Friday.
Manucher Ghorbanifar sat in on a series of meetings in Europe between two defense officials and two other Iranians who the Bush administration had been told had information useful to the United States in its then-fledgling global war on terrorism, a senior defense official said on condition of anonymity. The meetings occurred not long after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, he said.

Are you a nut? Do you claim Iraq was the aggressor in this last war? Did the Poles also start the war against Germany?

"And how about the eniterly illegal stikes against Iraq that we covered up and said were stikes agaiannt his violations of the "no fly zone" in 2002 that even the Washington Times said was a prelude to the destruction of fiber channels Iraq?"Because Saddam was using that fiber technology to launch SAMS that threatened our pilots who were enforcing the "No Fly Zones"
Is there anything else that you can defend Saddam on?

Are you a nut? Do you claim Iraq was the aggressor in this last war?I will slightly correct myself, but still does not change what I said about Iraq. A sea-launched cruise missile attack was launched against specific Iraqi military/official targets a couple of hours before 4 missiles were launched from Iraq against the country of Kuwait. Now, the United States Navy launched this attack after Hussein failed to meet the deadline to produce evidence that the weapons were destroyed (and to remove himself from power after that deadline had passed) Hussein responded by attacking other nations like he did in 1991.

Total BS. We just suddenly deciced to bomb Iraq with hundred of sorties in 2002 in the lead up to the war because they were all of sudden violatting the no fly zone?

Do you deny that 4 missiles were launched into Kuwait after a sea-launched cruise missile strike was ordered?

Geezy peezy, I had no idea the world was such a safe place and that none of these maniacal dictators around the globe pose a threat to the United States of America.
I guess Osama bin Laden and those cave dwelling terrorist in Afghanistan were never a threat either?
OBL has never had the capability of either Saddam or Kim Jong Ill and look at how many innocent people he was able to kill on Sept. 11th, 2001?
You need professional help bud

"The point is he was never a threat."Saddam had biochemical weapons (matter of record), there is ample proof of his willingness to use them (matter of record), the only thing that he hates more than the US (in general) is the Bush family (specifically) (matter of record), he is a member of a select group of individuals in positions of power in the Middle East who have openly admitted to the above (matter of record), he had the largest, most powerful Army found in the aforementioned group of individuals (matter of record), we are fighting a war against a shadowy, multi-national band of extreme fundamentalist Islamic suicide commandoes who get their funding from Muslim governments that hate the U.S. (matter of record), Saddam Hussein funded terrorists (matter of record).
How the hell was he NOT a threat?

When they lock their radar on our war birds, they ahve violated the "No Fly Zones", we respond by taking out their radar sights. Hence, their new fiber optics communications get bombed and destroyed.
As much as you would like to get an apology from the USA for taking out Saddam, Don't hold your breath, it's not coming anytime soon

No threat ? You think that 9/11 didn't happen, was fomented by our governemnt, or what ? People I know and people, who some of my friends, and my daaughter knew ell, were MURDERED on that day. Yeah ... there's " no threat but a cultural one " and the tooth fairy is real, as is the Easter bunny, and Santa Claus.

OBL killed nearly 3000 Americans with box cutters and bravado- not with WMDS or Iraqi agents as most Americnas believe. You can rest and hide behind body counts In Iraq but it won't mean a thing to how many Americans are killed as a result of Bush's asinine policy in the middle east in the future.

I'm off to bed, folks. This is a joke tonight. Luckily this person is in the tiny minority of people who think that Hussein should be put back in power. Nothing like supporting Hitler, Stalin, and Hussein.

The
ONLY " assine " policies, are the ones YOU espouse here.
You know little to nothing about the Middle East and understand far less.
In actuallity, there were more American soldiers deaths and problems, in Germany, when we were attempting to do there, after Germany surrendered and we were still fighting in the Pacific, than there have been in Iraq. And, as far as the president's Middle East policies, they have proved to be and shall still be, far better, than ANY other president's policies there, in the past 50 years.

8 months from now- when Sadaam is dead and Americans are still being killed daily who do we blame then?
