streaming video from Aug 7 about low-yield nukes for bunker busting
TOPICS: Culture/Society; Editorial; Extended News; Foreign Affairs; Front Page News; Government; News/Current Events; United Kingdom; War on Terror
KEYWORDS: bbc; bias; bunkerbuster; media; miltech; mininukes; nukes; tacticalnukes
The written pieces on BBC's website are actually offering analysis of the issue, but the video version is pure pulp propaganda.
It starts with a mushroom cloud, then shows post-nuke Hiroshima followed by the bandaged children, etc. we only get a passing mention of what the purpose of these weapons might be. Knowing that a majority of the audience gets their news from T.V., this is pure demagoguery for the uneducated lumpenproletariat.
The European media needs a watchdog group or two as well, it seems.

Far as I know it's not much of a bunker buster, won't penetrate the deep stuff. Hence, it's no substitute for a penetrating tactical nuke.
