PASSENGERS on an American Airlines flight to San Diego that was delayed for over an hour would have been dismayed to learn the real cause of the holdup.
The flight out of JFK the other night sat on the tarmac without explanation until an hour and a half after the scheduled departure time.

Or does she have special clearance?
