Well, my Maine Coon is suffering from Catziehmer's...
He keeps forgetting he has just eaten and squalls for more!

I exercise often to keep myself fit. Volleyball is quite nice in the summer.

Hmmmm....we just figured out our 15 year old kitty is probably mostly Maine Coon (and Persian?)....she eats, then whines, so, maybe she has Catzheimers, too. (Plus she gets pissed because I won't let her play in the dog's water bowl.)

Yours, too? The fat cat (Halvah) drags water dishes around - puts a paw in and moves it around. Why, I dunno. I finally had to buy the biggest honkin' crockery dog dish I could find so she wouldn't continually knock the bowl over and then cry for more water.

Ah jeez...my big boy Elvis is on the Iams diet food, and it seems to be working. The rub comes in when I try to keep Stimpy and Priscilla at their present weight, and am trying to fatten up my skinny lil' youngun Lisa Marie. Mealtime is such a joy at my house....

I shared some of a filet mignon that I prepared with my furry little monsters. They sniffed at it, and wouldn't touch it. I was shocked.

I didn't over-cook it or weigh it down with spices or anything. I kept their cut completely pristine, and I diced it for them. They are both contenders for this thread, weighing in at about 13 and 17 lbs.

Silly kitties...

Well, I think cats are replaceable and should eat as much as they wish. We have two geriatric cats and they are a pain. I think they woulda been much happier to have kicked the bucket several years ago even if they would have been obese. Cats are not people and I think we oughta just let them eat to their heart's desire and so they die early. for the same reason, my cats go out even though people say they will die young from whatever. They were meant to go out and that is my opinion. Even if they die young.

You made a lot of sense

Gee, I thought I would get a major flame from people who think cats ought to have all the rights and benefits of people. I am surprised!! Thank you
