I don't have class envy

As you complain about "multi-million dollar bonuses."

(Snicker.)

A lot of our strength comes from our large and vital middle-class. It is shrinking under the current economic policies.

Another liberal Democrat talking point that ignores the fact that MOST of the disappearance of the middle class is associated with movement UPWARD out of the middle class, not downward.

That is not good and does not bode well for America's future.

Yeah, God forbid that more people become rich.

A while back another poster was shocked that someone would call a "Free trader" a Marxist. Ipointed out that sometimes the response was called for by some "Free trade advocate being the first to use that term. thank you for proving my point.

I especially thank you for proving my point about being teh first to use teh Marxist label in the same thread where you defend government subsidies to offshore investment. That is taking American tax dollars to give it to companies to employ foreign workers to compete against US citizens.

The middle-class is not shrinking because they are moving into the upper-class, they are increasingly becoming unemployed. White collar jobs are being outsourced. There have been a great many articles and threads to support this. Not one suggests otherwise.

Even a wealthy person can find undeserved multi-million dollar bonuses obscene. Perhaps it would be better for business to route some that bonus to shareholders, or toward developing the business. Afterall, there are plenty of capable MBAs who could do the same job for a reasonable salary and bonus.

Since you seem determined to persist in being insulting I will bid you good evening.

Throughout this entire debate I've noticed something conspicuously missing: the idea of reducing obscene taxation and the monsterous amount of red tape involved in starting and maintaining a business.

The populist sentiment (which is in no way conservative) here of late desires more government intervention, believes that someone owes someone a job and a certain standard of living, and scuttles the idea of private property by desiring penalties against companies doing what they are in business to do, profit.

What is the appreciable difference between this sentiment and the Leftist thinking that shouts the same thing(s) only using slightly different language? I mean, really, what gives?
