Living in Georgia at the time he was governor gave us a preview of what he would be like in the WH. I do agree with you about his moral values and that Miss Rosalyn was and is a very gracious lady as was his mother Miss Lillian. He was the first, but thankfully not the last president who was not ashamed being a Christian and could and did set a good example for the youth of this country as far as values went. He still exhibits those traits as seen the Homes for Humanity work that he does.

Although I respect him as a person of high moral caliber, I never voted for him because of the way that he ran the state of Georgia. Between Lester Mad - axe and himself, they took Georgia backwards instead of moving her forward.

Good for you Dixie! It's amazing how gullible some people are (not mentioning any names).  :-)

P.S. Welcome back!

"took Georgia backwards instead of moving her forward"

I've no doubt. But I was young then -- the first time I voted -- and I didn't do my research.
