Sure we should work to elect Tom McClintock. The only way to make Arnold honest is to have a real conservative in the race. It will force Arnold to be more than a sunshine opportunist and to tell Californians where he stands on the issues. If he doesn't and looks like an empty suit, then McClintock will gain ground. Either way, we win.

"The only way to make Arnold honest is to have a real conservative in the race."
The way we got Davis, was to have a "real conservative" in the race (last November). What have you done for me lately?
Since one "real conservative" couldn't win in Nov. 2002, maybe two can in Oct. 2003. Now we will see McClintock and the brilliant repeat performance of Simon.
This California Republican is practical enough to know I'm going to get more power and influence for many conservative principles with a WINNING Republican, than with another losing "real conservative."
To boot, the "true conservatives" have so little political savvy, that they think it is persuassive to call their fellow partymembers derogatory names.
Reagan's 11th Commandment is cast aside, as no longer meaningful in these times. These times, however, are times when Simon gets whacked by the WORST, most BEATABLE opponent in a long time.
I'm ready to break the state Republican Party free, from control by "real conservatives" that are political losers, unwilling to compromise, and unable to WIN.
The conservative ideas are fine. The unwillingness to compromise is stupid. The refusal to grasp that people (voters) need to be persuaded, not berated, is unexcusable.
Here are three Republicans that do NOT name-call fellow Republicans: Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush and Arnold Schwarzennegger. I believe they also win elections.
