I saw the Pew results today and thought they ran contrary to everything I'd been hearing about Bush's poll numbers again rising recently.

A fall to 50 % is played up by the press and the dems. Just like unemployment of 6.4 in my mind is a good number,,I remember the 70's when it was huge. So they act like 6.4 is a depression and it is not. They capitalized on the "if you lost your job it is 100%" mentality, the personal rather than the statistical.
