Thanks, deport.

Do you know if there's a time limit for action on a Bill? For example, if the legislature cannot act on redistricting due to dems leaving town, will the dems be able to kill the redistricting bill by outlasting the Republicans and the governor?

The time constraints are that the Special Sessions can last for only 30 days max....... so all legislative work must be done within that timeframe... When special sessions are used they can and often are multiple sessions, one after another. I know that at least once they lasted six sessions...

Regular Legislative sessions occur every other year and are 140 days max.
